These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and services operated by LSN Lab ("LSN Lab", "we", "us", or "our"), including Lingoshade and GoalTamer (together, the "Services").

By accessing, registering for, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

1. Who we are

LSN Lab is an independent software studio operated as a sole proprietorship registered in Poland.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Services. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts and security

You may register using an email address or a supported third-party sign-in (such as Google, Apple, or Microsoft). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@lsnlab.com if you suspect unauthorised use. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to keep your account secure.

4. The Services

LSN Lab builds and operates its own software products:

• Lingoshade — a language-learning application based on shadowing, dictation, and spaced repetition, including curated and AI-generated content, speech synthesis, and progress tracking.
• GoalTamer — a goal-driven task-management application with a built-in AI coach and weekly planning.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you are using, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.

5. Free and paid plans

5.1 Free plans. Some Services offer a free tier with limited features. We may change or restrict free features over time.

5.2 Subscriptions and the seller of record. Paid plans unlock premium features. Subscriptions to our paid plans are sold and billed by Stripe, acting as the merchant of record. LSN Lab provides the software and has authorised Stripe to sell and distribute access to the paid plans on its platform. This means that when you purchase a subscription, your purchase and payment contract for that subscription is with Stripe — not with LSN Lab — and Stripe invoices you in its own name.

5.3 Payments, billing, and tax. Stripe handles all payments, billing, invoicing, and applicable taxes for paid plans under its own terms and privacy policy, which you accept at checkout. We do not process payments ourselves and do not store your full card details. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis (for example monthly or annually) until cancelled.

5.4 Renewals and price changes. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will give advance notice of price changes, which take effect at your next renewal.

5.5 Cancellation and refunds. You may cancel at any time in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until then. Because Stripe is the seller and merchant of record, billing, cancellations, and any refunds are governed by Stripe's terms and applicable law. To request a refund or raise a billing issue, you can contact support@lsnlab.com and we will help coordinate with Stripe. Nothing here limits any mandatory refund or withdrawal rights you have as a consumer.

5.6 EU right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By starting to use a paid digital service during that period, you may be asked to acknowledge that you lose this right once the service has been fully performed, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Services lawfully and not to:

• violate any law or the rights of others;
• upload or transmit unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringing content;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other accounts, or our systems;
• interfere with or disrupt the Services or their infrastructure;
• use bots, scrapers, or other automated means without our prior written permission;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Services, except where permitted by law;
• remove or alter any proprietary notices; or
• resell or commercially exploit the Services without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

7.1 Our content. The Services and all related software, text, graphics, audio, and other materials are owned by LSN Lab or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use.

7.2 Your content. You retain ownership of content you create or upload (for example audio recordings, vocabulary lists, goals, and tasks). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Services. You confirm you have the rights to the content you submit.

7.3 Feedback. If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use it without restriction or compensation.

7.4 AI-generated content. The Services may generate content using artificial intelligence (for example study material in Lingoshade or coaching suggestions in GoalTamer). Unless stated otherwise, AI-generated output produced as a function of the Services is not owned by you. Your private content remains yours under Section 7.2 and is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. AI output is provided for your use within the Services and may contain inaccuracies; you are responsible for how you rely on it.

8. Third-party services

The Services may link to or integrate third-party websites and services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or practices. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them, and are governed by their terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that they will meet your specific requirements. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, such as language-learning results or goal achievement; these depend on your own effort.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LSN Lab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or use. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or EUR 100.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for intentional or grossly negligent conduct.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LSN Lab from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or content you submit, except to the extent caused by us.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time through the Services or by contacting support@lsnlab.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the Services ends, and we may delete your data subject to our retention obligations. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Poland have jurisdiction over disputes, except that, if you are a consumer in the EU, you may also benefit from the mandatory protections and the courts of your country of residence.

Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at info@lsnlab.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email, in-product, or on our website. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganisation or transfer of the business. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any product-specific terms, form the entire agreement between you and LSN Lab regarding the Services. These Terms are provided in English; translations are for convenience only and the English version prevails.
